5. An Epitaph
‘An Epitaph’ is a beautiful short poem composed by Walter De La Mare. The poet tells us about a lady who lies in the tomb.
एक समाधि लेख सुंदर लघु कविता है जिसे वाल्टर डि ला मेयर के द्वारा संकलित किया गया है। कवि हमें एक महिला के बारे में बताते हैं, जो कब्र के नीचे पड़ी हुई थी।
She was the most beautiful lady that was ever born in the west country. But his beauty vanishes when she dies. He feels that after her death no body will remember her.
वह सबसे सुंदर महिला थी, उसके जैसा पश्चिम के देशों में अभी तक कोई जन्म नहीं लिया है। लेकिन उसकी सुंदरता समाप्त हो गई जब वह मर गई। वह एहसास करते हैं कि उसकी मृत्यु के पश्चात कोई भी व्यक्ति उसका नाम लेने वाला नहीं है।
At last, the poet says that beauty vanishes but the moral work always be remembered.
अंत में, कवि कहते हैं कि सुंदरता समाप्त हो जाती है लेकिन किया गया नैतिक कार्य हमेशा अमर रहता है।
