    “Bharat is My Home” is an extract from the speech of Dr. Zakir Hussain, on being elected as President of India.

    “भारत मेरा घर है” यह एक उध्‍दरण है, जिसे भारत के राष्‍ट्रपति के रूप में शपथ लेने के दौरान डॉ. जाकिर हुसैन के द्वारा भाषण से लिया गया है।

    In this extract Dr. Zakir Hussain says about material and cultural life, individual and social life. He wants to work not only for the betterment of individual being but also for social life.

    इस उध्‍दरण में डॉ. जाकिर हुसैन भौतिक तथा सांस्‍कृतिक, व्‍यक्तिगत और सामाजिक जीवन के बारे में कहते हैं। वह किसी खास व्‍यक्ति के भलाई के लिए काम करना नहीं चाहते हैं बल्कि पूरे समाज के भलाई के लिए काम करना चाहते हैं।

    He says that education is the only instrument which can develop a man, state and nation. He talks about renewal and also says that it is possible only when education will be everywhere. He says that Bharat is My Home and its people are my family. He says that he will serve the constitution of India without any distincion of colour or cast.

    वह कहते हैं कि शिक्षा ही केवल ऐसा हथियार है जिससे एक आदमी, राज्‍य तथा राष्‍ट्र को विकसित कर सकते हैं। वह नवीनीकरण के बारे में बात करते हैं और कहते हैं कि यह तभी संभव है जब शिक्षा प्रत्‍येक जगह होगी। वह कहते हैं कि भारत मेरा घर है और यहां के लोग मेरे परिवार है। वह कहते हैं कि वह रंग और जाति के भेदभाव के बिना भारत के संविधान की सेवा करेंगें।

     Finally, he exhorts us to built the new life of the nation.

    अंतत: वह हमें देश के नये जीवन के निर्माण के लिए प्रोत्‍साहित करते हैं।
